This event marked a spontaneous open studio at Studio L41, presenting recent works by Lara Shirinyants alongside drawings and illustrations by Federica Nioi, a Sardinian illustrator and graphic designer based in Berlin.
The collaboration grew out of a long-standing personal connection. Shirinyants and Nioi first met in 2019 at a drawing session, shortly after Shirinyants arrived in Berlin. Years later, the two artists decided to spend several days working side by side in the studio, without a predefined outcome, allowing process, exchange, and shared presence to guide the work.
The result was a small, intimate presentation of works that emerged from this period of close collaboration, reflecting the dialogue between two distinct practices shaped by time, friendship, and creative proximity.
The open studio invited visitors to step into the working environment of Studio L41 and engage directly with works in progress and recent outcomes.
